Sky News confirmed that a senior official in the US administration said: Vice President Mike Pence intends to attend the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.
President Donald Trump said earlier that he would not attend the inauguration of his successor on January 20, while US President-elect Joe Biden praised Trump's decision.
"It's a good thing," said Biden, from Wilmington, Delaware, while affirming that the attendance of Vice President Mike Pence was "welcome."

Biden added: "One of the few points we agree on," adding: "Not attending is a good thing," considering that Trump "constituted an embarrassment for the country."
