On Friday, the director of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani, described the occupation’s surveying and taking measurements of the mosque and the Dome of the Rock as a "dangerous event."

In an interview with the local (Palestine-news) , Al-Kiswani called for reactions on the level of a "dangerous event," adding: "We look with an eye to the gravity of this behavior carried out by the occupation in Al-Aqsa Mosque and we believe that it is carried out by a foreign company that we do not know the purpose of.

He emphasized that what is happening is an attempt to remove the Ministry of Endowments' sovereignty over Al-Aqsa Mosque, noting that the settlers demanded the dismantling of the Dome of the Rock and the construction of the alleged temple.
He noted that the occupation imposes closure on the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the pretext of the virus, while seeking to impose a new reality on Al-Aqsa.

The director of Al-Aqsa Mosque warned the occupation against igniting a "war", through the measures that it is taking in Al-Aqsa and the Islamic cemeteries surrounding it and the incursions and provocations by the settlers.

Al-Kiswani stressed that protecting Al-Aqsa is the responsibility of all Muslims, not just the Palestinians or Jordanians, calling for there to be a position for all Islamic countries to stop the measures to Judaize the mosque that are racing against time.
He stressed the need for Arabs and Muslims to take responsibility to defend Al-Aqsa and to affirm his Islam and Arab identity.
