The Hebrew newspaper, Israel Hayom, said , that Israel will ask the administration of the new US President, Joe Biden, to continue cooperation in an attempt to prevent the moves it described as "dangerous" and that the International Criminal Court in The Hague has taken to investigate a number of cases related to war crimes against the Palestinians.

According to the Hebrew newspaper, the first step that Tel Aviv will seek to take in conjunction with the new administration is to coordinate the election of a new public prosecutor to the court during the coming weeks, noting that the current prosecutor has become Bensouda, who instructed to open an investigation against Israel, which will soon finish her duties after 9 years in office. .
Bensouda was criticized and sanctioned by the administration of outgoing President Donald Trump, after its decision to question American and Israeli soldiers.

So far, Biden and none of his new administration has announced any public positions on the issue of the approach expected to be taken towards the court. As reported by the Hebrew newspaper.

According to the newspaper, many major countries in the world asked the prosecutor Bensouda and the Criminal Court not to investigate the crimes committed against the Palestinians, which delayed the opening of the investigation, along with another reason related to changing the ruling in the United States.

For its part, the Hebrew Radio Kan reported this morning, that there is concern among the Israeli authorities about the possibility of starting investigations regarding the war on the Gaza Strip in 2014, as well as settlement construction in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

According to the radio, the real concern stems that the Biden administration will not prevent such investigations, as was the case during Trump's rule, indicating that the International Criminal Court may implement the decision issued by Attorney General Bensouda in this regard.

Israeli sources said that the government change in the United States could lead the criminal court to investigate Israel, and that this would pave the way for the court to open an investigation without confronting Washington.

The radio indicates that the decision on the court's table since December 2019 regarding the Gaza and settlement war will affect leaders from the political and military levels, past and present, and there is a possibility to issue arrest warrants for some of them.

She indicated that Israel had formed a special team last year in order for the court to decide to open an investigation against Israel.
