Dozens of Palestinians in Qalqilya Governorate in the northern occupied West Bank were able to intercept and thwart attacks launched by groups of fanatical, illegal Israeli settlers on various intersections and roads, and the occupation soldiers kidnapped two Palestinians.

The spokesman for the Fatah movement in Qalqilya, Murad Ashtewi , said that the Palestinians from the local non-violent Popular Resistance Committees objected to the settlers, who gathered at the main intersections and intersections.

Ashtewi added that the colonists were trying to attack the residents, homes, cars and other properties, when dozens of residents intercepted their attacks and repelled them, forcing them to leave.
The occupation soldiers arrived at the scene of events and began firing tear gas and concussion bombs on Palestinian citizens, causing many suffering as a result of inhaling tear gas.

Ashtewi said that the soldiers kidnapped a Palestinian named Mahdi al-Tayyib and Khairy Hanoun, 61, before taking them to an unknown destination, in addition to the brief arrest of Bayan al-Tayyib and two of his sons.

Palestinian soldiers also attacked the village of Fondoq, east of Qalqilya, near Qalqilya, and fired teargas canisters at them, causing dozens of suffering from the effects of tear gas inhalation.

In related news, Israeli occupation soldiers stormed Silwad, east of Ramallah, in the central West Bank, which led to the outbreak of protests.

During the incursion, the soldiers fired rubber bullets, tear gas canisters and concussion grenades.
