This morning, Wednesday 6/1/2021, groups of settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed Talmudic rituals, in conjunction with the restriction of the occupation on the Palestinians and the prevention of Jerusalemites from reaching it.

Jerusalem sources reported that a number of settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the occupation forces, as part of the daily tours that depart from the Mughrabi Gate to Bab al-Silsila, passing through the Bab al-Rahma area, during which Talmudic rituals are performed.

The sources pointed out that the daily incursions continue despite the comprehensive closure witnessed by the occupied territories, including the city of Jerusalem, and the prevention of movement in the vicinity of more than 1 km.
Jerusalemites are prevented from entering Al-Aqsa due to the closure, while settlers storm the mosque under the protection of the occupation forces, despite the closure breach.

In a related context, the occupation intelligence arrested the young Jerusalemite Nabil Sidr from the Bab Hatta neighborhood in the Old City of Jerusalem.

The eastern region of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Bab Al-Rahma prayer area are subjected to systematic targeting by the occupation and its settlers, as the occupation forces ensure the daily incursions of settlers into the eastern region in conjunction with the emptying of worshipers and stationers.

Al-Aqsa Mosque witnesses daily incursions and violations by settlers and the various arms of the occupation, while their frequency increases during the period of the Jewish holidays.

Last month, the Israeli occupation forces extended settlers an additional half hour during the evening incursions.

Two weeks ago, the occupation imposed strict, comprehensive closures on the occupied city of Jerusalem under the pretext of "Corona", and prevented anyone from wandering beyond a kilometer from the vicinity of his home.

Hanadi Halawani has indicated that the arbitrary occupation measures against Al-Aqsa Mosque in exchange for the settlers' incursion into Al-Aqsa confirms that the real reason for all this strictness and the exclusion of worshipers is the exclusivity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
