The Palestinians buried the body of the captive martyr Dawood Al-Khatib in the city of Bethlehem last Saturday.

The participants in the funeral demanded that the Israeli occupation be held accountable, the release of prisoners afflicted with diseases and the deliberate medical negligence policies of the Israeli Prison Administration.
Last September, prisoner Al-Khatib was transferred to Ofer Prison, after suffering a heart attack.

Al-Khatib was serving 18 and a half years in prison and had been awaiting release just months before his death.
